I WANT YOUR OPINION!
I saw that Gordan from Blog This, Pal! had linked to my blog with his thoughts on the content. Unfortunately, besides the name, he didn't see much here that he was interested in.
Now I wish that he loved it and visited my blog everyday. I wish everyone did. At times and based on the number of hits I receive, it feels like I'm just doing this for myself, but to be honest that would be a great waste of time. So please, if you visit my site give me some feedback. If it is your first time here, let me know if you see something that you like or dislike. What would you like to see more of in order for this blog to become one that you would want to visit regularly? Is there something you would like to see or read about that I'm not doing? The same goes for anyone that might visit my blog on a semi-regular basis. What keeps you coming back? What keeps you from coming back more often? What would get you to visit everyday?
Please, I welcome any criticism. I don't just do this to waste time. I do this because I love comics! I want to share this love with others. I want to be a part of a community that shares an interest in the things that I enjoy. And hopefully by chance turn someone else onto the medium that I love.
Thanks.

I gotten a few excellent comments and ideas for the blog. Please keep them coming. Also, be sure to check out David Norman's blog, Clandestine Critic. He took up the Blogaround Challange and offered up some helpful criticism of my blog.

I'm a regular, and since you asked...I thought I would contribute my two cents. I like reading your reviews most of all, since our tastes in comics are very similar. I can't count how many I've picked up books based on your recommendations. That said I think I'd like to see more reviews since you have a talent for making a review interesting. I'd like to hear your opinion on classics...like Watchmen, Killing Joke or the Excalibur collection coming up. Also, maybe you could put together "top ten" lists that get updated montly based on your favorite book, writer or artist. That could help others get to know your tastes and preferences quickly and see if they want to come back to see what you're recommending at any time. There...done.

Thanks for the recommendations, Derek. I received a couple of emails offering some of the same critiques. I've been a little lazy with the reviews lately, so I think that has to change.

I failed to mention that it is a cool site though.

I just added your site to my blogroll. Like what you're doing, but would love to see more commenting, maybe some non-linking commentary. NIce site, and I'll probably be by at least once each day.

Hi Evan--I just stumbled across your blog over on Weblog Updates. I like it! Nice reviews. What I especially appreciate is that you post a lot of images. (Those covers of James Jean's from Fables you posted back in May are stunning. I'm just getting into Fables, and really enjoying it.) Constructive criticism? It's already been said: more reviews (of old stuff or new stuff). Personally, I really like to hear about the earliest comics that people ever remember reading (especially the weird ones!) and what that experience was like--but that's just my own little hobby horse. On the subject of lists: I like lists when each item on the list is commented on; I almost never read lists that are just, well, lists. But again, that's just one man's opinion! I've added you to my blogroll though, so I'll be back. You have impeccable taste in TV!

Hey Evan. First time at your blog, but I think it's pretty good overall. I think what I'd like to see more of here, besides the reviews others noted, is more of your own opinions of the comic industry as a whole. You talk in great lenth about the comics themselves, which is the most important thing, but I think I'd like to see more about what you think work and doesn't work within the industry as a whole. You said you love comics. Well, I think part of that love it to let the industry know what you think, not only of the product they produce, but just how and why they go about producing it.
I bookmarked your sight, so I'll certainly be checking back here. :)

Thanks so much for all the great comments. I've gotten a few good ideas from everyone's responses, so hopefully in the coming weeks these changes will be taking place.
And in the process I've also discovered some other cool blogs that I know I'll be checking out. Thanks.
